Baking 2 smaller Christmas Cakes together

Hi Lindsey

I've just made my classic Christmas cake and I'm making another 2 small ones using the same amount of ingredients for the big one.

Can I bake them together and will they still take the 4 hours to bake or, as they are in smaller tins, will they take less time, please?

Any guidance on this would be really appreciated.

Hello Janette,

Are you using conventional heat / bottom shelf? And if you are is your shelf big enough to take the cakes side by side with a bit of room around each of them?

Hello Lindsey. Yes, fan assisted oven and both tins fit on the bottom shelf with space around ....... thanks

Hello Janette,

As your using a fan oven you can use any shelf. Even two separate shelves if the space between is deep enough.

Either way I would bake them at 115C in a fan oven.
