I would like to make a steamed sticky toffee pudding instead of a Christmas pudding. How long in advance can I make it? How long should I reheat it? What should I wrap the trinkets in that go in the pudding. Is it possible to adapt your recipe for oven cooked individual sticky toffee puddings into one steamed pudding?

Hello,
We haven’t tried but I’m sure a large one, covered in parchment and foil, would steam in 2 hours.
I expect it will be fine, cooked, cooled, and stored in the fridge for 3 – 4 days then steamed for 1 hour to reheat.
For the charm I would add before you steam it to reheat. I’d do this by making a cut with a small knife then push the charm into the pudding with a chopstick.
The cover and steam to reheat.
Kind regards
Lindsey
Many thanks
