Hi, I have all of Delia's books and have for many years been following her 1981 Sweet Piccalilli recipe from Part Three of her cookery course series - page 664 - in this recipe it says to keep for 3 months before eating - but in Delia's Happy Christmas book the recipe for English Mustard Pickle - Piccalilli, it says to keep for 2 months before eating.
Will keeping the 1981 Piccalilli version for 2 months before eating be sufficient?

I made the Happy Christmas version (as we have online) today and I like how it tasted already!
The main difference in the earlier versions is the amount that it makes so I’m sure that it will be fine eat after 2 months.
