hi I would like to bake deliahs recipe of victoria sponge cake for a 14inch by 9.5inch deep rectangular cake tin for my son's birthday on Saturday and I'm uncertain what quantities of ingredients I need to be using.

We haven’t got a tested recipe of this size but if I had to do the same I would do a 10 egg sponge.
However I would make 2 x 5 egg mixtures rather than bake one very large cake so it cooks more quickly and will be less likely to dry out.
