Nordic Ware was founded by Dave Dalquist, who returned from WWII to start the company in his Minnesota basement along with his father, brother and wife Dotty. With only $500 in their pockets, a few good ideas and a desire to create a business of their own, a humble kitchenware company was launched.

The company began manufacturing traditional Scandinavian ethnic cookware products, like Rosette iron, Krumkake iron, Platte Panne pan and Ebelskiver pan, to serve the large Scandinavian population that inhabited the upper Midwest in the US. Today Nordic Ware's manufacturing capabilities, distribution and the brand itself have flourished, with their huge range of iconic baking pans now used all over the world!
