Microwaving a Christmas Pudding
I have made Delia’s Christmas Pudding and steamed it for the 8 hours. However I will not have room on Christmas Day to steam it on my hob to reheat it. Could you kindly give me instructions on how to reheat it in the microwave. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
Don't want to over feed the Christmas Cake
Hi Lyndsey, I’ve made Delias Christmas cake and fed it with the coupl of tablespoons when cold. I’ve just done my 2nd ‘feed’ with also a couple of tablespoons but now on searching I think you recommend a couple of teaspoonfuls to feed. Do I not feed any further now or continue with teaspoons and will the cake be soggy now with my excess? Thankyou.
Last minute Christmas Cake without gluten
I always make Delia's last minute brandied Christmas cake, and it's my husband's favourite ever! We have recently discovered that gluten makes him ill. Can I just switch normal SR flour for gluten free SR flour (perhaps with some Xanthan Gum), and follow the recipe as it is? Thought I'd ask here before I spend all the money on the ingredients if it won't work?
Aboiut the English Custard Tart
In the recipe for English Custard Tart, at what point do you take the pastry case out of the tin, after it has been in the freezer or at a later point in the recipe?
Correct cabbage!
In your recipe for Soupe au chou, the ingredients specify "white cabbage". However in the photo it is clear that savoy cabbage has been used.
Personally, I have a great preference for the latter. Which does Delia really use?
