climate

oddly enough Sonya you do get used to it really fast- only took one winter for us to adapt (tho the cat's still not keen).

-10 to us now is 'oh that's ok' whereas in UK or Vancouver it would have seemed like the Arctic.

fortunatley these cold spells don't last long - two weeks at the most usually - then we all get excited when it gets up to +2 or similar!

it's very dry and sunny here which is lovely (if a little hard on the skin in winter - v v dry). Can get v hot in summer which i'm not a huge fan of - but we have air conditioning at home so can escape!

Frost Havoc

Think my Blue Agapanthus has had it!! Prodded around in the pot and it is very mushy. Hey ho - will have to get another one. No sign yet of any movement re the Ceanothis (?) so will have to get another one. OH has replaced the broken glass in the greenhouse so hope to get that back in order real soon. Opened up the Summerhouse during this lovely weather (OH delights in calling it my Shed) only to find that a mouse or mice have been having a lovely time gnawing the stuffing out of two cushhions on the chairs....it's everywhere.......drat.
