Salt in the Wholemeal loaf
In Delia's recipe for Wholemeal loaf (adaped from Doris Grant's recipe) why does she have 1 dessertspoon of salt in the recipe. I have made this following the recipe to the letter and it tastes awful. I have made it again a few days later with 1 teaspoon and it tastes much better. Thank you.

Please can you tell me the recipe for a 10 inch fruit cake wedding cake . I have done it a long time ago but want to check again I have the correct ingredients
Alternatives for mixed dried fruits
Hi Lindsey,
Please could you give me alternatives to mixed dried fruit. I am not a great fan of sultanas, raisins or current in my loaf although I would adore candid peels and this the only one I know of so far.

Making a large Canary Lemon Sponge Pudding
Can this be made as one large pudding?
Icing cakes!
I have inadvertently volunteered to make a cake for a function. I have never properly iced a cake before. I have done a bit of research but my main two questions are:
1 Can I use Delia's recipe for fondant icing in a mould?
2 Could I use a place a moulded marzipan shape on top of the marzipaned cake and then ice (with royal icing)? Or do you think the icing would just make the moulded shape look like a blob?

Is there anything else I could use please instead of elderflower?
