Mostardo di frutta

I found this on a list of ingredients I was using the other day. As always of course, one can never find these things in any local shops. So, any idea where to find it, and should I bother, can you offer a recipe to make it at home?

Mostardo di frutta

On-line from Melbury and Appleton but it's expensive - £5.99 a jar.

If you Google there's a recipe but it says it's not for keeping.

Mostardo di Frutta

We've bought this from deli's and Farm Shops in The Lakes. Made it myself one year but afraid it wasn't one of my best efforts and I ended up throwing most of it away. Good luck if you have a go. foxy x

Mostarda di Frutta recipe

I have a recipe and will post it onto My Profile. I have made it - recipe refers to it as a "tongue-tingling combination of sweet and hot" and I crossed that out and substituted with "eye-wateringly hot ..." !!

However I think it may mellow with time.
Use it on the side with ham and poultry.
