This month Lindsey has chosen recipes with a definite seafood summer stamp.
Our starter is from Delia's How to Cheat at Cooking, it's hard to believe the book is now 13 years old, but the recipes are still as popular as ever, and although many of the shop bought ingredients are not exactly the same, you can usually find an alternative. For Louisiana Crab Cakes the preparation is minimal, then all the ingredients are simply whizzed together, formed into cakes that take only 2 minutes to cook on each side. If you're feeling adventurous, you could make you own mayonnaise which is incredibly easy, in fact, Delia shows you how to make it in our Cookery School Video here. Sticking with the seafood theme, main course is Tiger Prawn Jambalaya, if prawns are not your thing, it can also be made with fish, chicken or pork instead. Dessert couldn't be any simpler, Very Easy Vanilla Ice Cream isn't made in an ice cream maker. Just four ingredients are mixed together, then popped in the freezer, but if you prefer to use an ice cream maker have a look at our other recipes here.
