Menu for August
Our recipe this month has a lovely Greek theme to remind you of holidays gone by, or get you in the mood for your next visit. A quick and easy starter using squid that takes only 15 minutes to prepare, is followed by a main course of a traditional Greek 'afelia', also quick to cook, but if you can leave it to marinate overnight the flavours will develop. Dessert will use up the soft fruits in abundance this month; Delia's Summer Fruit Compote can be served simply with creme fraiche or homemade ice cream.
