Keeping marzipan
Hi. I’ve made Delia’s marzipan recipe using the cooked egg method.
How long will this last under fondant on a Xmas cake? The best before date on the eggs is the 17th December. Will it be safe under fondant until Xmas?

What liquid to use when rehrating
Just cooked beef in cider.
Going to freeze it. What liquid do you suggest if when warming it’s too dry.

Will my cake be ok to eat?
I make Delia's rich fruit cake most Christmases and have a cake that I made at least 4 years ago. I have kept it in a cool place during that time and have fed it several times with brandy. It looks and smells great but will it be ok to eat or is there an expiration on even a rich fruit cake?
