

I made the carrot cake from my very very old book of cakes .
Just thought I should point out the the book just says wholemeal flour , which I used and thought the cake heavy .
Just looked on the website and there it lists SELF RAISING wholemeal flour .
Which in your opinion is the correct one .
By the way , the cake still tasted delicious.

Hello Lance,
I don’t think that self-raising wholemeal flour was available 40 years ago but when we tested all the recipes for the new cake book we used SR wholemeal flour and we all loved it. Both versions work but I prefer this one with SR flour.
