Using ground allspice in Christmas Chutney

I am about to make Delia’ Christmas chutney. However I could not get allspice berries which are added to the recipe wrapped in muslin. Would it be ok to add allspice powder and how much should I add if this is ok? Thank you.

If you need to use ground allspice, use about a third of the weight but still tie it in a muslin bag.
