Using ground allspice in Christmas Chutney

I simply love Delias Christmas Chutney and have made it several times. However, i would like to replace the Whole Allspice berries for Ground Allspice. Can you please tell me how much Ground Spice i should use. (The recipe calls for 3ozs of Whole Berries).

Hello Miriam,
If you use ground allspice, use about a third of the weight but still use a muslin bag or it will have a grainy texture.
