I have seen a oblong tin, same measurements as the delia one except that it is 3 inches high.
Would delia's receipies work? Or is 3 inches too deep?

Hello,
The Delia Online loaf tin is 3 inches deep and deeper than that would be ok too.
Kind regards

Hi
So you think that the tin I have seen which is 3 inches deep would be ok for delia's oblong recipes?
Lindsey, Food Editor replied
It sounds like the same tin. What’s important is that it’s not too long. Ours is 16cm measured on the base.

My colleague thinks you were actually referring to the shallow oblong tin used for brownies etc. In which case 3 inches deep will be ok sometimes but if it's not a loose base tin, removing shallow cakes from a deep tin can be awkward, especially when the recipe calls for the cake to be removed whilst it’s still warm.
