The depth of Delia's Christmas Cake

Hi Lindsey
How do i get my fruit/christmas cake as deep as Delias.I have never been able to get a deep cake. Can you advise

Does you tin measure 8 inches across?

Yes have tried all manner of sizes.
Don't know what i'm doing wrong.

We always use an 8 inch tin but if you wan your cake to be deeper the you could use a 7.5 inch tin.
