Hope you are all well?
The pistachio sables that are found in Happy Christmas. Can these be made with just plain flour or do I need to use a strong flour? And I don’t have the book in front of me, but the cheese straws made to a similar recipe - would the same apply? If I were to make with plain (or s/r) do I need to adjust anything else in the recipe?

I would use plain flour in either of these recipes but not self-raising.

Thanks for the speedy reply Lindsey :). Ended up going down the tapas route for some friends last night but useful to know in future I can use plain flour for the sables etc. I’m not really a bread maker so a bag of strong flour usually gets wasted :)
