Substitute for Dress Italian Sauce

Hi Lindsey
I am new to the forum so forgive me if this has been asked before. I have recently acquired a copy of the cheat cookbook and I'm keen to give it a try.
However I find that the Dress Italian tomato sauces are no longer available. Does Delia have a recommended alternative?

Hello Hilary,
Yes, unfortunately the Dress Italian range seems to have disappeared from the supermarket shelves!
When you browse what’s available have a look at the ingredients and opt for one that has the fewest ingredients. Or you could use Passata and add garlic (& chilli if you like) to it. Or you could make a batch of your own sauce and freeze it.
