I recently bought Delia's complete how to cook and decided to make the Irish Oatmeal Soda Bread on page 87. I measured out the ingredients but when I added the buttermilk and mixed with the dry ingredients it remained very moist and was very small in a 9" inch round sponge tin. Are the quatities correct as it only calls for 175g wholemeal flour and 50g plain flour compared to 570g for the wholemeal loaf. I'm sure its something I did wrong but I have made some of Paul Hollywoods' bread recipes with great success.
