Hi Linsey I have a recipe for a steak pie which says simmer on the hob for 60 minuets however l prefer to transfer this to the oven could you please tell me what would be the equivalent
to a simmering temperature in celsius both fan and conventional and how long I should cook it for at this temperature as it was too dry the last time i tried it in the oven (Think I cooked it too high and for too long)
Thank you
Warm Regards
Sandra

Hello Sandra,
I would bring it up to simmering point on the top of the stove first then cover it with a tight fitting lid and cook in the oven at 120C fan or 140C conventional heat for 1 hour.
Kind regards
Lindsey
Thank you
