Hi Lindsay,
The recipe for quick flaky pastry says to chill for 30 mins in the fridge, then goes onto say
"How to roll pastry:
a) Rolling to a round
Before the pastry is rested pat it into a round shape..."
Does this mean after it has chilled for 30 mins, or is chilling the resting period?
Thanks
Pete

Hello Pete,
If you shape the pastry before you chill it, it makes it easier to roll into the intended shape after chilling and yes, the chilling period is the resting period.
I’m not sure if you have seen the cookery school video but if not, it is here if you’d like to.
Lesson 3. Quick Flaky Pastry
I can see that unless you scroll down the page it’s possible to miss the advice on shaping before chilling the dough so we’ll look to adjust that. Thank you for bring it to our attention.
Best wishes
Lindsey
