Hi Lindsey, made Whole Oat Crunchies reducing sugar to 50g,
i found them very sweet, is it possible to make them without sugar or to reduce sugar to 10g or 15g?
on removing biscuits from oven there were little bubbles of butter bubbling at bottom of tin these did subside when biscuits cooled, i didn't oil baking parchment but it was very oily, and biscuits were oily to eat, the predominant taste was butter not oats, is it possible to reduce butter? thanks Frances Therese.

Hello Frances Therese,
We haven’t tried reducing the sugar and butter in these biscuits. It’s the butter and sugar that hold the oats together so there will be a point that the mixture will no longer bind. It’s just a case of trying reduced amounts to see how low you can go.
If you end up with baked crumbs I expect they will taste nice sprinkled over yoghurt for breakfast.
Kind regards
Lindsey
