Asked on 4 Jan 2017 by skinno Can any cake receipies that specify a 1 pound loaf cake tin be made instead in Delia's loaf cake tin? Lindsey, Food Editor replied Hello, No because the Delia Online loaf tin is equivalent to a traditional 2lb (boxed type) tin. It is so called because it was originally designed to make a 1lb loaf of baker’s bread. So you would need to double the recipe if it was originally intended for a 1lb tin. Kind regards Lindsey skinno replied Would you need to double the cooking time as well? Lindsey, Food Editor replied No. Yes it will take longer but not as long as double.
