I have so far made 7 of Delia's Christmas puddings so as presents and 2 being kept back for Christmas day. They have all been steamed for the 8 hours and the recipe states a further 2 hours pre serving them - as space is very tight on the hob on Christmas day by removing the foil could the be warmed in the micro oven - if yes what would the ball park time be. Many thanks Chef Bob.

Hello Chef Bob,
Steaming is definitely the best. Microwaved puddings are frequently ruined. They tend to overheat and get tough & sticky.
Steaming lightens the pudding and after taking so much care to make your own pudding it’s such a shame to not steam it.
Delia doesn’t even heat her leftover pudding in the microwave. She wraps it in foil and heats it in the Aga or the oven.
Given no choice I would suggest bursts of 30 seconds on the lowest setting, checking between each burst and making a judgment on giving it a further zap!
Best wishes
Lindsey
