Having seen a quiche been prepared on TV and then low and behold a Delia newsletter with quiche popping into my inbox I thought it was about time I had a crack at one. Following Delia's recipe for "Quiche lorraine" I had all the ingredients I needed. While I was baking the pastry case I looked for anything suitable to add as extra. First I added 2 table spoons of tomato puree to the egg and cream mix, a spot of onion and red pepper to the bacon and to top it all off when I loaded the pastry case with the mix and before I poured on the egg and cream mix I sprinkled small cubes of black pudding on top. Cooked a treat and tasted delicious. I name it " Breakfast for lunch quiche".
