

I have a fruit cake recipe that uses plain flour and wholemeal self raising flour. I have plain flour and ordinary self raising flour, even in these times!, but can't get any wholemeal flour at all. Could I add a quantity of Allbran to the s/r, and if so in what proportion please? Tia

Hello Tia,
I expect you can do that but without knowing the actual recipe I’m not sure about the proportion. If in doubt just swap the wholemeal self-raising for the white self-raising that you have.
