

Hi Lindsey,
I am making Delia’s Christmas pudding for the first time. I have a son who is allergic to eggs so am wondering what would happen if I left them out. Would it make much difference? If so is there anything I could add instead?

We haven’t tried Delia’s Christmas pudding without eggs.
However, I think it will be ok. If anything, it’s going to be crumblier but I think it’s worth trying.
I would increase the SR flour (which gets aged just before you cook it) to 100g.
