I bake Delia's Irish Tea Bread. I bake the recipe in two 1 lb loaf tines and find the mixture is nearly too much for each tin. Should these be baked in two 2lb loaf tins? My 1lb loaf tins are from Lakeland 450 gm.
I would appreciate your advice.
A must-have in any kitchen is a good set of bakeware, and what better than Delia's own range, made in the UK to her own specification. This month, we have a full set to giveaway with our exclusive competition in association with Grana Padano.

Hello,
For this recipe…
Very Fruity Irish Tea Cake
The loaf tin that Delia uses is the Silverwood 1lb Loaf Tin.
The Silverwood 1lb loaf tin (so called because it was designed to make a 1lb loaf of baker’s bread) is equivalent to a traditional boxed style 2lb loaf tin (i.e. approximately 19 x 12 cm x 9 cm deep).
It has a capacity of about 1250mls.
If you are using 2 smaller tins that are a bit too small perhaps you could line them to contain the mixture.
Best wishes
Lindsey
