The flour in Delia's Apricot, Apple & Pecan Loaf

Hi, I would like to bake delia's Quick Apricot, Apple and Pecan Loaf cake. One of the ingredients is wholewheat flour. Please can you advise:
1. Is this the same as wholemeal flour?
2. Should I be using Self-raising or plain flour?

Our online version says wholemeal flour but perhaps you are looking at an earlier publication. Yes they are the same.
It is plain, not self-raising.
