Making a Chocolate Orange Torta

I love the Derek Fuller Truffle Torte in Delias Christmas book but not everyone in my family likes the rum and amaretti. If I change the alcohol to Grand Marnier can you suggest an alternative crumb

Hello,

I think I would do 60ml  Grand Marnier and 40ml orange juice and make these biscuits to crush for the base (then to be top!), with or without the chopped chocolate.

NB – for anyone reading this that doesn’t know Delia says in her book…

“I have to confess I have never liked measuring spoon sets because

  1. they vary, and b) I’ve always thought they were a bit mean.
  2. So, I use conventional, old-fashioned teaspoons (5ml), dessertspoons (10ml) and tablespoons (20ml).”

This means that when you follow a Delia recipe you should use a 20ml spoon for a tablespoon or 2 dessertspoons per tablespoon will be the equivalent.
