Maning a smaller Christmas Cake without an electric whisk

I want to make Delia’s Christmas cake, but I don’t have a food processor or electric beater, and find hand beating hard. Does Delia have a boil and bake fruit cake recipe? Or can the traditional recipe be adapted for boil and bake, and if so, how? I also want to make it in a 18cm tin.

Classic Christmas Cake
If you struggle with beating you could get an electric hand whisk. There are a wide range available to suit most budgets.
You will need ¾ of the Classic Christmas Cake for an 18cm round and it will probably need 3 ½ baking time.
