For classic tomato sauce do the tomatoes have to be skinned first?
A must-have in any kitchen is a good set of bakeware, and what better than Delia's own range, made in the UK to her own specification. This month, we have a full set to giveaway with our exclusive competition in association with Grana Padano.

Hello,
Very good question.
If were making a tomato sauce that we whizz until completely smooth (and sometimes sieve) we often leave the skins on for a bit more colour and flavour.
But when we want a chunky texture, we shin the tomatoes.
Best wishes
