Not as expected!

Hi, about a couple of months ago I made Delia’s Christmas Chutney (for the first time). I’ve just tried some and it doesn’t really taste like chutney - that is, no spice flavour. I followed the receipt to the tee, so I’m just wondering what I did wrong (if anything as I don’t know what it’s meant to taste like!), and also, is there anything I can do now to perk up the 6 jars..?

We make this every year and we love it. I find the generous amount of allspice is enough.
Perhaps it’s just not to your taste.
You could infuse some vinegar with chilli and add that sparingly until you like the taste.
