That's not a question. I just want to share my experience. While cooking first time the STICKY PRUNE AND DATE CAKE, because of (or thanks to) language misunderstanding, I've used blackcurrants instead of currants ;-)) . I want to admit that this added nice deep colour and made the cake less sweet. Since I do this every time ;-)) May be some will find such approach interesting and useful.
