Making Two Creole Cakes

Creole cakes
Hi Lindsey
I want to make 2 creole cakes. I have 1 20cm tin and 1 21cm tin.
How should I adjust the ingredients?
When I cook them together how long should I leave them in the oven and at what temperature

Hello Dilip,
I would just do two times the recipe for those tins.
I would wrap the sides with a few layers of brown paper and cover the tops with baking parchment (so that the paper does not touch the surface of the cake) to prevent the cakes from catching.

How long should I cook them in the oven for

Assuming you are cooking them side-by-side in the centre of a conventional oven they will probably need the same time as the recipe for one but have a peek at 3 hours to see if you need to swap them around.
If you are using a fan oven the temperature needs to be reduced to 120C but you can / should cook them on different shelves and the temperature should be even so you won’t need to move them. I would still peek at 3 hours, as fan ovens cook faster.
