Making Christmas Fruit Compote ahead

In Delia's Christmas Book, there is a recipe for Christmas Dried Fruit Compote which I have made many times, but I would like to make it in advance if possible, could I make it and freeze it, if not how far in advance could I make it from Boxing Day.

We make this for Christmas too.
It keeps well in the fridge, for at least a week but probably much longer.
