Hi I wish to make the Traditional Christmas Cake, but wish to halve this recipe to make two smaller ones, can this be done, roughly what size tin should I use and should I bake at the same temperature? Thank you Beverley

Hello Beverley.
Yes you can halve the recipe or bake the recipe in 2 x 6 inch tins.
The temperature stays the same. I would check the cake(s) at 2 hours then every 15 – 30 minutes after that depending on how it / they are looking.
Best wishes
Lindsey
NB Bake in a conventional oven at 140°C on a low shelf or on any shelf at 115°C if you’re using a fan setting.
