I am wanting to make an 11 inch round Madeira cake to be iced as the middle tier of a wedding cake. Are you able to refer me to a recipe that is scaled to this size. (I only have the afternoon tea loaf-sized recipe).

Delia doesn’t have a recipe for a larger Madeira cake but the last one I made for my daughters birthday, using the creaming method was baked (at 160C) in a 11inch round.
I used 700g butter (room temperature), 700g caster sugar, 12 large eggs, 1K plain flour mixed with 35g baking powder and the zest of 2 large lemons.
It took 2 hours in the oven and needed covering after about hour.
