

Hi. I always make the light glacé fruit cake for Christmas from Delia’s Christmas. I also made it for my daughter’s small wedding last year. I now need to make a large cake for her wedding party this year. Are you able to advise on the quantities and cooking temperature and times for a 12” square cake please? Thank you.

Hello,
I would do a 12-egg recipe for a 12-inch square tin. Temperature stays the same, 170 in a contemporary oven. I expect it will need about 4 ½ hours to cook but keep an eye on it after 3 hours or so.
