Hi, I would like to make a double - sized Classic Creme Caramel. How long would I need to cook it for please, thanks

Hello,
I would have a peek at 1 hour to see if it's set.
I expect it will need another 10 - 15 minutes, but ovens do vary so it might be set in an hour.
Best wishes

Thank you Lindsey, but I’m confused by your reply. In the recipe for Classic Creme Caramel (in Delia’s ‘How to Cook’) a single/normal quantity has a cooking time of 1 and a 1/4 hours. My question concerns a double quantity made in one dish. Are you suggesting a total time of one and a half hours?
Thank you
Vas

Hello Vas,
We bake it for 1 hour now. So I’m guessing 1¼ hours for double the mixture. It may take longer but if its not set after 1 ¼ hours I would give it another 10 minutes and check again.
