I recently read an article where Delia said that cookbooks were a thing of the past and that we should look online for recipes.
I agree with her sentiment, particularly here in the US. There are so many cookbooks, many with a useless single focus, that they just seem like white noise.
However, I would love it if you could tell Delia that despite all this, her books have endured and are absolutely the most useful in my collection. I could give up almost all of my food books, but I would never let go of Delia's. Her writing and guidance will always be present in my kitchen!
I want her to know that, even though food media is moving in all sorts of directions, her written work is cherished, useful, and will always be inspiring!
