I'm really upset as I went to a great deal of effort to ensure I had all the best ingredients for Delia's Traditional Christmas Cakes. I was making one as a gift and one for myself - foolishly I used the wrong four in one of the cakes (I used self raising and should have been plain). I realised by the time I was on cake no. 2 fortunately.
Is it ruined?

Probably not! Is the second cake out of the oven yet! Do they look very different? Our Creole Cake is made with self-raising flour and that’s another version or a rich fruit cake.
