Instead of Creme Fraiche in Greece

Dear Lindsay,
I live in Crete , Greece and can't buy creme fraiche as in Delia's chocolate cake. Can you suggest an alternative ? Many thanks, Jane

I’m not sure what is available in Greece but thick or double cream or even butter will work in the chocolate icing.
