Ice Cream Machine

I'd love to have a go at making some of Delia's ice creams over Christmas and wondered if you could recommend an ice cream maker that's not bulky to store and does not require initial pre-freezing of the the bowl?

Making by hand looks like a bit of a gala performance.

What does Delia use?

Hello Eileen,

I have Magimix Gelato Expert and have been pleased with it.

Delia’s machine is very old. I can’t remember the brand, but it does take up a large amount of workspace and is no longer available.

Thank you Lindsey. I Googled your Magimix Gelato Expert and it looks an impressive piece of kit but I can't justify the cost for just making the odd recipe so I'll have a go at the alternastive suggested in the recipe (doing manually) but it does look tedious!
