I have a question regarding the Individual Pecan Pies from the original Christmas book. The recipe says to make the pies in 2 patty tins with 4 inch x 3/4 inch cavities. I own one Silverwood Yorkshire pudding tin with 4 cavities that are about 3 3/4 inch x by 3/4 an inch. Is this tin close to a patty tin? I live in the USA and this seems to be the closest thing. I do realize I would have to do the recipe in two batches.
If I wanted to make it into one larger pie, I was thinking that a 9 inch flan tin that is about 2 inches deep would be the right fit for 6 oz of flour with a cooking time of about 30 minutes. Does this sound like it would work to you?
