Hello Lindsey
You replied to my request for help with a 3 tier hexagonal creole wedding cake last week. I have a pack of 5 tins and the volumes are as follows
6” - 1 litre half the usual quantity?
8” - 2 litres usual 5 egg quantity?
10” - 3 litres 10 egg mix, double quantity?
12” - 5 litres 20 egg mix, 4 x quantity?
Can you please advise if these quantities will work?
Thank you
Joanne

Hi Joanne,
What size is the 5th?
Our 8 inch round Creole is quite high. Previously the same amount was cooked in a 8 inch square so it was not as deep.
Do you want deep or shallow cake layers? How many layers and which sizes may help you decide?
Thanks
Lindsey
Hi Lindsey
I’m doing 4 layers which I would like quite deep. I couldn’t get a 14” - I made the 8 yesterday using the 5 egg quantity mix, 4 hours at 140. Very pleased with the result.
Hi Joanne,
Based on you being pleased with the results for the 5 egg mixture in the 8 inch tin I would do…
6” - 3 egg mix
10” - 8 egg mix
12” - 13 egg mix
All best
Lindsey
