Getting the measure of eggs!

In Delia's Winter collection, some of the recipes state size 1 eggs. Does this equate to large eggs? Thanks

Yes size 1 does mean a large egg.
When Delia tested most of her recipes, large eggs were larger than they tend to be nowadays.
A large egg weighs about 73g.
Or 3 medium eggs can be used instead of 2 large.
