I have two queries regarding Delia's vegetarian shepherds pie with goats cheese mash.
Can I make this the day before and keep it overnight in the fridge and bake the next day. Better still, will this freeze for a few days before cooking.
I do not have a 23cm round dish. Will the Le Creuset 19cm deep rectangular dish be okay.
Your help is much appreciated.

Hello Alan,
The liquid capacity of the dish Delia uses is 1.5L.
Yes you and make it the days before, cool, cover and refrigerate.
And yes you can freeze the pie once you have added the mashed potato but before cooking. Wrap the dish in freezer film and then a freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Defrost overnight in the fridge before continuing with the recipe.
