

I've made this recipe a number of times and love it.

I was making it today ahead of time for friends (now chilling in the fridge ready for cooking) ... the friends have had to cancel at the last minute - can I freeze the dish at this stage? If yes would I be better defrosting fully before cooking or can I cook from frozen. Keeping my fingers crossed! Thank you in advance for the advice.

Hello Karen,
I delighted to say yes you can freeze the coulibiac, open-freeze until solid then wrap well in foil or clingfilm.
Unwrap and cook from frozen, allowing an extra 10-15 minutes’ cooking time for defrosting.
